Series of Break-Ins Highlights the Importance of Security Systems in South Brisbane

In a recent spate of criminal activities, eight businesses in south Brisbane fell victim to break-ins within two hours. The incidents, currently under investigation by the police, are a stark reminder of the urgent need for robust security measures in the area.

Law enforcement authorities have revealed that an unidentified group of individuals targeted various businesses in south Brisbane earlier this week. At approximately 1:15 am on Wednesday, the perpetrators attempted to gain entry into a convenience store on Denham Terrace in Tarragindi by employing an angle grinder. Although they left behind significant damage, their efforts proved unsuccessful, forcing them to abandon their mission.

Shortly after that, the same group targeted a service station on Evans Road in Salisbury around mid-morning, resorting to smashing the glass door. However, their actions triggered the alarm, prompting them to flee the scene without obtaining any loot. The culprits broke into a service station on Annerley Road in Dutton Park at approximately 1:50 am. Despite their use of an angle grinder in an attempt to steal cigarettes, they were unable to succeed and made a swift escape.

Around 2:10 am, the group forcibly entered a business establishment on Blunder Road in Oxley, making off with a cash register. Undeterred, they headed to Parkwood Drive in Heathwood at approximately 2:40 am, where they smashed the front glass door of another business. They brazenly stole the cash register and other items before getting away. In their subsequent endeavours around 2:45 am on Joseph Banks Avenue in Forest Lake, the group failed to gain access to two different businesses.

Shortly after 3 am, the unknown offenders successfully breached a service station on Learoyd Road in Acacia Ridge. However, they left the premises empty-handed, perhaps spooked by unexpected circumstances. Finally, at approximately 3:15 am, a grocery store on Kameruka Street in Calamvale became the last target of the night. The criminals successfully made off with cash and cigarettes, leaving a trail of concern and distress behind them.
